Which report to pick

Look at the request from your agent or carrier. It will name the form. A four-point is for older homes before a new policy or at renewal. A wind mitigation is for credits. If the request mentions both, choose the four-point and wind mitigation combination for $169. Mobile and manufactured homes book the four-point only.

What to have ready

  • The property address and, if you know it, the year it was built
  • The insurer’s request, so the inspector documents what they asked for
  • Clear access to the attic hatch and the electrical panel
  • Someone to let the inspector in, or lockbox details

Reports are delivered within 24 hours of the inspection, usually the same day.
